Currently located on the Truckee campus of Tahoe Forest Hospital, the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center (GUMTFCC) opened in 2006 and offers medical oncology services across the continuum of care.

The Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center, located in Truckee California, is committed to providing the highest quality cancer treatment and care to our patients. Led by Medical Director, Laurence Heifetz, MD, FACP, and the oncology team of Daphne Palmer, MD, FACRO, Radiation Oncology, Melissa Kaime, MD, FACP, Medical Hematology/Oncologist, and Ahrin Koppel, MD, Medical Hematology/Oncologist, the mission of the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center is to provide the highest quality cancer treatment and care to patients, using the most appropriate and current cancer therapies available in an honest, supportive, compassionate and respectful manner.

Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center’s services include:
